I want to use it for my Dish Network, but I dont have a phone jack next to my TV. I heard they make something that plugs into the phone jack, then has a remote sensor you plug into something else to transfer the signal.

its is a cordless phone jack. it transmits through the house power wires.

You dont really need a phone line anymore.
you can order pay-per-view on the internet, I think.
and if you have a bedroom box you can lend it to a friend, shhh.

They should be able to fix you up at Circuit City. If not, go to Radio Shack and take notes on what they tell you then do on line and buy the same thing for a lot less!
